Gwest Golf ClubhousePerth

In 2007 Hoskins Architects were asked to submit proposals for a new Clubhouse within the GWest Development beside the renowned golf resort of Gleneagles.

The brief was to create a high quality design that would be a memorable experience and an icon within the setting of the new GWest resort. Views and connection to the golf course were carefully considered to enhance visitors experience on the journey from the point of arrival through to departure. The clubhouse takes advantage of the natural terrain, allowing visitors coming from the hotel to enter the building on the first floor restaurant level via a bridge link whilst players access the changing facilities, pro-shop and spike bar at ground level. The clubhouse forms a spectacular setting for the 18th green with its base formed in layers of flat bonded Caithness stone and its free spanning folded roof clad in aluminium bronze sheets.
