Located in Balerno on the outskirts of Edinburgh and within a designated Greenfield site, Gareth Hoskins Architects began working with The Burrell Company on the £2.25M re-development of this former Barnardo’s home, in July 2000.

This phased project consisted of the conversion of a B-Listed 17th Century stable block and interwar cottage into 5 luxury 2 bedroom dwellings and the conversion of Ravelrig House, separating the former 15thC tower house from its substantial interwar extension, to form 6 luxury 3 and 4 bedroom dwellings.

The project was completed at the end of December 2005.
