The project combines 12 flats for Korsakoff's sufferers, with 3 mainstream flats and day care facilities on an extremely tight site above Greenock town centre. This was required by a combined client of Cloch Housing Association, Inverclyde Social Services and Communities Scotland, in October 2001. To provide an independent living environment to suit the specific needs of people suffering from alcohol induced dementia.

The layout of the buildings on the site loosely reflects the former street pattern with three and four storey buildings grouped around a rear courtyard. The buildings are orientated to maximise long views across the Clyde or along Regent Street from the living accommodation of each flat. External materials are chosen to compliment the surrounding buildings, brick and timber boarding.
