Engagement and consultation

An important part of any project is managing the perceptions of interested parties, whether part of the client team, or external, to try to ensure that they understand the designs being proposed and that they feel consulted and brought along with the development process. Gareth Hoskins Architects are used to managing consultations with external bodies, the general public and client groups and have the ability in house to engage consultees through a range of media from computer visualisations, animations, to sketches and simple 3 dimensional models. We are aware of the need to communicate our schemes in a way that is appropriate to those we are consulting and have been complimented on our clear and accessible presentations. Through our involvement in projects involving existing buildings and in conservation areas or sensitive settings, we have worked with and built up a good relationship with many local authority planning departments and other statutory bodies and stakeholders such as Historic Scotland.
