Gareth Hoskins Architects to create reference health care design

Gareth Hoskins Architects were one of two practices recently selected by Hub West Scotland as architects to develop a new reference health care design for a new build health centre in the West of Scotland. The new centre will be approximately 6000sqm in size and jointly occupied by East Renfrewshire Council and Greater Glasgow NHS. The process will last 10-12 weeks and the reference designs that result from the process will be widely published and available to all hubcos for future projects.

The aim of the design is to meet or better a given prime cost per square metre for the building and to build in flexibility and innovation in design and construction. The process will include workshops with a series of consultative groups including the local community, patients, staff, clinicians and the procuring authority.
