Nick Domminney

Nick trained at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Hull School of Art, and following qualification was part of the Architects & Builders Cooperative in Hull from 1983-1985, after which he worked for Tyne & Wear Metropolitan Council and Newcastle Upon Tyne City Council until 1989. Nick was a senior architect in the Building Services Department of Glasgow City Council for 12 years before his move to join GHA in 2002.
Nick’s experience working with a variety of clients on a range of community based and commercial projects over 20 years has enabled him to successfully deal with timescales, procurement methods and budgets on projects of all sizes. Nick is also adept in managing the consultation process, both in terms of community consultation and liaison with local authorities. Nick has a long standing interest in sustainable design and was one of the first architects to achieve RIAS accreditation in sustainability; he now manages and leads the practice’s Green Group.
