Planning permission was granted on the 1st August 2005 for Lochend Care Home in the city centre of Edinburgh. The project is the result of a Gareth Hoskins Architects competition win in August 2003 for an exemplar 60 bed residential nursing home in the city centre of Edinburgh. The aim is to create an innovative and sustainable care environment designed on a domestic scale around the needs of elderly people.
