New Architectures of World Heritage Exhibition and Conference
Gareth Hoskins Architects will be taking part in an exhibition and conference entitled ‘New Architectures of World Heritage 0782’, which will be held on 14-15 March 2013 at the Scottish Centre for Conservation Studies, University of Edinburgh, in conjunction with a Masterclass on authenticity in World Heritage Sites by Prof. Jukka Jokiletho, UNESCO World Heritage Expert.
‘New Architectures of World Heritage’ is a global research initiative of projects and events exploring the evolving architectures of UNESCO World Heritage sites, with a particular focus on the creation of innovative and sensitive contemporary architecture in historic urban sites.
Gareth Hoskins Architects will be showcasing the newly completed Greyfriars Mission project at Greyfrairs Kirkyard within Edinburgh World Heritage Site in the exhibition at Matthew Gallery, University of Edinburgh. Project Architect Donald Simpson will give a 20 minute talk during the Method Session of the conference on Friday 15 March 2.00-4.00pm at the University of Edinburgh.
