Sophie Logan
B. Arch (Hons), Dip Arch

Sophie studied architecture at the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow. Graduating in 1999 she qualified as an architect in 2000 and worked on a range of projects between Glasgow and Edinburgh, whilst teaching part-time in the design studios at the University of Strathclyde. Sophie joined Gareth Hoskins Architects in 2003 as Project Architect and was promoted to Associate in 2005.

From the outset Sophie’s creative abilities and pragmatic approach to challenges were utilised to the full on the practice’s key projects, whilst she maintained her involvement in teaching and a wide range of architectural competitions. Design flair and considerable project management skills saw Sophie become a finalist for the Scottish Design Awards ‘Emerging Architect of the Year 2007’. Now working on a range of projects, she is also invovled in analysis, design and communication of ideas for new projects within the practice. Sophie’s role extends to managing and coordinating the work of the practice’s many work experience students, and she also represents the team of Associates at monthly management meetings.
