Thomas Bernatzky
M. Arch
Thomas studied Architecture at Darmstadt University of Technology in Germany and worked in a number of German architectural practices before moving to Glasgow in 2000 to study for a Master’s degree at the University of Strathclyde. He was awarded the City of Glasgow Silver Medal for Architecture and the Glasgow Institute of Architects Student Award before joining Gareth Hoskins Architects in 2001.
Thomas has worked on many of the practice’s high profile jobs on very sensitive sites. He has extensive skills in computer modelling and rendering and has been instrumental in developing new and innovative systems on both the design and administration side of the practice, and this lateral yet creative approach is evident in his design work. Thomas has been a design studio tutor for the post-graduate course at the University of Strathclyde and is a member of the Green Register of Construction Professionals since 2005. He was promoted to be an Associate with Gareth Hoskins Architects in 2008.
