Royal Museum Site Visit
On Friday 23 April the Gareth Hoskins Architects team attended an enjoyable and educational site walk-round at the Royal Museum Edinburgh. The redevelopment main works have been on site since September 2008, and are at an advanced stage. Those who attended were able to have a sneak preview of the new spaces created by the opening up of the former basement level, and a first look at the new circulation and reinvigorated spaces throughout the building. Thanks go to Gordon, Rory and Donald for guiding the tour, and for patiently answering the incessant questions. After the walk-round the team adjourned to a local Edinburgh watering hole to continue to ‘discuss the project’ over a much welcomed beverage.
