Cabinet Secretary for Health, Shona Robison MSP led the official ‘Ground Breaking’ for the Gareth Hoskins Architects designed Eastwood Health and Care Centre on Monday 23rd February. The project, the development of a Primary Care Reference Design, aims to support further integration of health and care provision, alongside Council and Third Sector services.

Development has been undertaken through a partnership between hubWest Scotland, Scottish Futures Trust, NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and East Renfrewshire Council, and aims to enhance and futureproof provision of services locally. The design provides accessible and flexible accommodation within a robust, high quality environment within both the building itself and the landscaped courtyards and external space.

Construction of the £15 million facility is now underway, with contractor Morgan Sindall Ltd leading the team consisting of Gareth Hoskins Architects, MSPS, TUV-SUD, Cundall & Harrison Stevens.
