Review of 2005 - Awards, Events and Office Growth

2005 was an award winning year for Gareth Hoskins Architects, with our newly completed Community Centre for Health in Glasgow picking up a number of awards. Gareth Hoskins became a board member of the newly formed Architecture and Design Scotland, the body championing good design in Scotland and the Practice was invited to participate in national and international events such as the RIAS conference and the distinguished International Architectural Festival in Parma, Italy.

2005 saw a significant growth in the size of the office from 24 to 36 people, with the practice being appointed to take on a wide range of new and exciting jobs, covering work on city centre commercial sites, new schools projects and arts facilities and including the revamp of the Royal Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh, which in August 2005 won Scotland’s largest lottery fund award to date.
