SEDA Talk & Tours - Culloden Battlefield Visitor Centre - 21 May 2010
This year the SEDA AGM is in the Highlands and is combined with a range of visits & presentations under the broad heading of “Sustainability and Identity” - looking at how the natural resources & characteristics of a place generate, and support the design and identity of a building. The event will start on Friday 21 May with an afternoon of talks and a guided tour of the Culloden Battlefield Visitor Centre. The opening talk by Nick Domminney, Director at Gareth Hoskins Architects, will provide some context to the characteristics of, and influences on, the design of the Visitor Centre and describe the many sustainable features of this unique building. The afternoon will conclude with a guided tour of the Visitor Centre - a Civic Trust Commendation in 2009. For further information please see www.seda.uk.net..
