The detailed masterplan prepared by Gareth Hoskins Architects for the Trump Organisation’s Golf resort on the Menie Estate has been approved by Aberdeenshire Council planning committee. Prior to GHA’s involvement, outline planning permission was granted in 2008 but with a considerable number of conditions. The approved masterplan covers the whole scheme, including championship golf course, hotel and housing, and satisfies the majority of the planning conditions, with additional work to follow to purify the remaining conditions. The detailed plans were widely praised by the majority of councillors, and have the backing of Architecture and Design Scotland.
