Annual Architectural Drawing Competition and The Norma Frame Foundation
Gareth Hoskins Architects are pleased to have sponsored The Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts and The Norma Frame Foundation in staging the first in what is to become an annual architectural drawing competition. The competition received over 100 entries and our Director Gary Johnson was invited to be on the judging panel along with fellow architects, Alan Dunlop, Tom Elder and Jeremy Armitage.
First prize was handed to Michal Supron’s ‘Cathedral’ and Niall Patterson’s ‘Emergence and Locomotion’. The competition culminates in an exhibition which runs from 22nd January – 4th February 2011 at RGI Kelly Gallery and Glasgow Art Club, with the majority of framed hand-drawings for sale.
The Norma Frame Foundation assists young graduates and was set up to honour the memory of the late Norma Frame, who in addition to many other personal and business achievements throughout her life was latterly a much loved member of the Gareth Hoskins Architects team from 2006 to 2007.
