On Saturday, August 25th 2012, two amateur football matches will take place in a Scottish forest, as part of the Cultural Olympiad and London 2012 Festival. Forest Pitch by a project by artist Craig Coulthard is a celebration of art and sport that revives the original spirit of the modern Olympics.

Players will ready themselves in a simple, elegant timber pavillion designed by Gareth Hoskins Architects and constructed of timber from trees felled at the time of preparing the pitch site.
